Low-Income Emergency Medical Help

At the Coffee County Humane Society, we understand how challenging it can be to provide necessary medical care for your pets during unexpected emergencies. To support low-income families, we offer limited assistance for non-life-threatening emergencies, such as a severe illness or injury that endangers the life of the animal or greatly impacts its quality of life.

What We Cover:

  • Assistance ranges from $100 to $200 depending on the diagnostic tests required.
  • Assistance is not guaranteed and depends on the availability of our resources and the circumstances outlined in your application.

What We Do Not Cover:

  • Routine veterinary care, including vaccines and ongoing treatment, are the owner’s responsibility.

If you are experiencing a qualifying emergency, please complete our Emergency Vet Care Application to request assistance.

To the best of our ability, we aim to ensure that every pet gets a chance at health and happiness. We strive to educate owners on what preventative care the pet needs to ensure their continued health and longevity.

In the case of a life-threatening emergency, help requests may be made by sending us a private message on Facebook. We will get back to you as soon as possible once we receive your information. Our messaging hours are Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:00pm. We do try to check messages periodically on the weekends, and will try to respond if urgent.
